Taking Jesus for Granite

It's not the Virgin Mary making an appearance in Tampa, FL, but the Lord himself who is showing up in a hunk of rock, apparently still on the cross (it must be a Catholic rock - they never have let him down off that cross):
TAMPA, Fla. — A granite distributor in Florida expects to fetch a good price for a 400-year-old slab that he says bears an image of Jesus Christ pinned to the cross, according to local affiliate FOX 13.

The distributor — who wished to keep his name private — reportedly bought the piece a couple of years ago near the Brazilian town of Espirito Santo, or "Holy City."

The granite dealer has decided to sell the unusual piece, and has turned to Thomas Finkbiner of isolditgulfcoast.com for help.

Finkbiner helps people sells things on eBay. He expected the granite slab would attract a lot of interest.

A grilled cheese sandwich, which purportedly bore an image of the Virgin Mary, sold on eBay for $28,000 in 2004.

400 years old? I thought granite was supposed to be millions of years old. Could the folks that believe in a 6,000 year old earth be right?
