When Talk Show Hosts Attack

This item will probably only be of interest to those of you in the greater Los Angeles radio market, though some of you with an interest in talk radio will also find it interesting. KFI-640 AM is the 50,000 watt flamethrower station that hosts Rush Limbaugh and Dr. Laura in its syndicated lineup, but also has a number of colorful local hosts. Some like Bill Handel who does morning drive are interesting, funny, irreverant and wildly politically incorrect, while others like the John & Ken Show which does afternoon drive consists largely of banging pots and pans and trying to get attention for themselves. I enjoy Handel but find John & Ken unlistenable.

A recently departed late night host has created a website slamming KFI and its local hosts and pulls no punches. It's probably a career-ender for the host, but he doesn't seem to care. For those of us who are familiar with this station, it make for some interesting reading. You can find it here. He doesn't care much for John & Ken either, though he's an equal opportunity basher.
