Since the California primary contest is today at least I can look forward to the end of candidate robocalls which have been coming in the past few days. I've heard from the Governator, Senator Rick Santorum and Gov. Mitt Romney.
Romney's call was the most interesting for one reason - it opened with Romney saying "Hello Moore family, this is Gov. Mitt Romney". I've heard that Romney calls all over the country have included the name of the callee and I'm not sure just how they did that. It sure sounded like Romney speaking and it didn't have that electronic, stilted delivery that you get with some robocalls. Either Mitt recorded many, many different names, or they have a voice impersonator who's really good.
In any event, it all stops after today and hopefully won't start up again until late in the Fall. I won't miss them.
Another advantage of getting this election over with is we won't have to listen to bad information from the press. Just this morning a reporter on KTLA in Los Angeles told all of us that the California Republican primary is a winner-take-all contest. It's not. Delegates are awarded according to each candidates placement in each congressional district. You'd think a local reporter would know that.
