The "Maverick" Voter

A commenter at The Corner has come up with an appropriate name for a special type of voter we'll see this November:

My wife and I both have decided to become “maverick” voters. We’re voting Republican for House and Senate but abstaining from voting for President.

John McCain decided he wanted to be a "maverick" rather than a good GOP team player. I predict that there will be a lot of "maverick" voters in his honor.
