Quick Trip Update

It's beautiful up here in Northern California. The weather's perfect, and all through the area there are flowering trees with white or pink flowers. It's pretty spectacular.

We had an uneventful trip north and took the college girl out to a day of shopping (and a good lunch and dinner). She's been sick with a bad cold all week, so just getting out was a big deal. We had dinner at a favorite place in Sausalito where there was a spectacular view of San Francisco as the sun was sitting low on the horizon. It's such a beautiful city - it's too bad so many weirdos live there.

On the 19th the girl heads to Monte Urano, Italy for a 9 day tour with her college Symphonic Band. She be performing several times while there, and will even march in a Good Friday parade the day they get into town. The trip will also take them to Venice, Florence and Rome. Music has been very, very good to her. She played Carnegie Hall just last June and will be going to Calgary, Canada this July.

We had some last minute shopping to do for her to make sure she has everything she needs. We had a fun day together, and a little later this morning we'll meet for lunch before we make the 7 hour slog back home. At least she's close enough that we can do that if we want to.

It doesn't look like there was much news while I've been off the air. Barack Obama got the cowboy vote big time in Wyoming and picks up all 12 delegates. Doesn't sound like much, but with the closeness of the race and the importance of each delegate, that was a big win for "Mr. Hope".

I'll catch up on everything after I get home tonight. See you then.
