The Park Church, a United Church of Christ in Elmira, N.Y., is pursuing a felony criminal mischief charge against a member of a group of Christian protesters who oppose the promotion of the homosexual lifestyle after she allegedly anointed the church building with a cooking or baking oil.
There was a status hearing today on the case being brought by prosecutors on behalf of Park Church against Holly Somers. Prosecutors confirmed she had been charged but not yet indicted and there had been discussions with a public defending representing Somers about the case.
It is the second criminal case to emerge from the city's promotional event for "gay" pride in 2007. WND reported earlier on a case against four Christians who were fined for praying in Wisner Park, the public park adjacent to Park Church, during the pride festival.
You'd think those gays would be all over that oil stuff.
