Christians and Capital Punishment

With the Supreme Court ruling yesterday declaring lethal injection to be a constitutional method of execution and thus restarting the execution process in many states, my friend Joe Carter has a thoughtful piece on "A Christian View of Capital Punishment". I'm sure many more liberal Christians would hold the view that that taking of life at any time is wrong, but Joe makes the point that Biblical covenants would support capital punishment in the case of murder, but not for other crimes.
