Fire Bomb Attempt at Van Nuys Church

Somebody tried to torch a Nazarene Church in Van Nuys:

LOS ANGELES - Authorities say a fire at a church in the San Fernando Valley was deliberately set.

Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey says up to two incendiary devices were thrown onto the roof of Panorama Church of the Nazarene in Panorama City early Sunday.

The roof caught fire and a passer-by called authorities. Humphrey says firefighters arrived quickly and doused the flames in about ten minutes. There were no injuries and the church sustained only minor damage.

The fire is being investigated by the multi-agency House of Worship Arson Task Force, established by law enforcement and fire departments to look into the burning of churches.

I'd have to look it up, but I'll bet I've sung in that church at one time or another. I've been in just about every Nazarene church south of Bakersfield.
