McCain: "Obama Doesn't Share Rev. Wright's Vision of America"

Yesterday I posted on the ad created by the North Carolina GOP and John McCain's objection to it because it used the words and image of Rev. Jeremiah Wright and questioned how Barack Obama could listen to that nut for 20 years and not be influenced by it. I thought the ad was pretty good and right on point, but McCain is so desperate to run a high-minded campaign that he's effectively taken Rev. Wright out of the campaign with this statement:
The AZ Senator added today that he believes “it is clear” that Obama does not share the world view of Rev. Wright and stated his intention to run an issue-centric campaign.
The problem, Sen. McCain, is that it is not clear at all that Obama does not share the worldview of Rev. Wright. In fact, there's more evidence to the contrary, thanks to all of Obama's radical relationships. What is becoming clear is that McCain has spent so many years in the collegiality of the Senate that his ability to properly judge the motivations and attitudes of his political opposites has been severely eroded, and that leaves him open to manipulation in the name of "bipartisanship".

That is why I have long questioned his fitness for the presidency. He doesn't seem to understand the game.

McCain now has Secret Service protection, which is probably long overdue, especially considering the radicals who support the Democrats. Unfortunately, even the best agents can't protect McCain from himself.

UPDATE: North Carolina TV stations refusing to air the ad. That probably doesn't matter that much since it's been seen by millions online and in news reports.
