A Surprising Revelation From the Secret Service

I just watched a story on Special Report regarding the escalating cost of Secret Service protection thanks to the extended campaign season. That wasn't the surprise - the surprise was the admission that only Obama and Clinton have a Secret Service detail. John McCain doesn't at his own request.

I assumed, like probably most others, that McCain had a detail to protect him on his events, but now that it has been made public that he is campaigning without one, I think his staff needs to insist on a Secret Service detail right away. The publication of his information could easily encourage every left-wing whacko out there who's afraid that McCain will beat the Dems in November to try and become a lefty hero and take out the Senator. I'm no fan of McCain, but I don't want to see his candidacy ended by some idiot.
