Obama Forgets the First Rule of Holes

The first rule of holes: stop digging. Barack Obama's spectacular overreaction to President Bush's Knesset speech has put the candidate in an awkward position. He can stop now and hope to climb out of his self-made hole, or he can keep digging. What do you think he'll do?

Top foreign policy adviser Susan Rice tells MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that Obama intends to strongly rebuke the President’s suggestion he and other Democrats support “appeasement” of terrorists.

Also calls Bush’s remarks an “outrageous, unprecedented, divisive attack.”

Obama will once again prove that he's not ready for the big time.

I have an idea of how the White House should respond to this. When asked by the press jackals to respond to Obama's comments, they should say something like this:

"The president's speech was not about Sen. Obama, but if he saw himself and his party in the president's comments, perhaps there's a problem there that they need to fix rather than lashing out irrationally. Self-control is an important attribute for a Commander-in-Chief."
Note to the White House: You're free to use that...no charge.
