Media to Provide "Protective Pool" for Obama

Lucky us, we get to know what Barack Obama and his wife are going to be doing every moment of every day:

The media-savvy Democrat had ducked the 24/7 press coverage that other presidential candidates have endured for months, but no more. As of Saturday, every breath he takes, every move he makes will be scrutinized and recorded for posterity, often with a biting wit.

Now orbiting Sen. Barack Obama is the gaggle of reporters known as a "protective pool" - although newshounds who cover presidents have dubbed the duty "body watch."

I don't think they meant the term "protective" to be ironic, but it certainly is. The press will be as protective of Obama as they can going through this campaign.
