Yesterday we walked ourselves silly again, hitting lots of our usual haunts. One of our favorites is always the Conservatory at Bellagio which is decorated for the season, and they outdid themselves this year with a train theme. They had beautiful flower arrangements with several "G" gauge train layouts running through them.
They even created a little model of the Bellagio, the lake, and surrounding buildings. The fountains even worked (if you look closely you can see some water shooting up in the air):
One of the displays included a replica of Mount Rushmore in South Dakota, carved out of some sort of natural material.
That night we caught the real fountain show outside. The water spray felt pretty good - it was about 102 degrees at the time.
The only problem was that one of the song they used was Elvis' "Viva Las Vegas". I think the Viagra folks have ruined that song forever. I'll bet every one of the thousands of people watching the show were thinking the same thing.
Today we're going to run over to Henderson to look around a bit. It's always nice to get out in that 108 degree weather.
