Lefties Try to Blame Talk Radio for Arkansas Shooting

The tragic shooting of Arkansas Dem Chairman Bill Gwatney has created all kinds of theories about the motive. So far nothing official has come from authorities, but as I suspected would happen, some of the more ardent lefties are already blaming conservative talk radio. Look at these comments from the Politico article:

Makes you wonder if the right wing talk hate radio is starting to takes it toll. Will they find Hannity and Bill O books in this guys house too? This is really getting scary especially after what happened at the Unitarian Church. Wake up people do not suuport the hate by listening to misanthropes like Limbaugh, Coulter, Hannity, Bill O, Savage, and the rest of the right wing wacko lot.

yOUR LYING GOP. No names yet. He didn't work at the dealership. If this, along witht he hillary hostage situation and the church last months, shuts down gop hate propoganda (rush hannity oliely fox), I'm personally erecting a statue in this mans hometown. It would be a huge sacrafice. Yet would save thousands if not millions of others lives. The gop are terrorists, meaning they use fear and threats of violence to aceheive political means. If we take their chance to use their terrorism for a means (right-wing propognada), then two things happen 1. saves people in the future for the same fate 2. removes liars and terrorist from the political realm. Big price but at least good would come, rather than the gop continuing to use fear of murder to scheive poltiical goals. Pathetic and sick

More and more we hear of Republican hate groups commit violent acts on Americans who do not agree with their political veiws. These people are terrorist. And who ever comes to their defense are different then they are. The unibomer, Timmothy McVay, the Chuch killings, the Mexican American assault, etc. are acts of torrorism. Right wing radio and TV are responsible for these acts of terrorism in the U.S. They not Americans but rather American terrorist. They need to be stopped.

One guy even tried to blame Obama:

The shooter was an Obama supporter. Gwatney was a Clinton Super Delegate.

The theory that actually seems more likely is that the guy was a former employee of one of Gwatney's car dealerships, though that has yet to be confirmed. Chances are this was not a political hit, but a disgruntled ex-employee or ex-customer.

(UPDATE: The suspect had been fired just that morning from a Target store. No word yet on his connection to Gwatney, if any.)

Politics is a contact sport in this country, but we haven't gotten to the point where rational people are willing to shoot their opposition. And we can't blame the voices in someone's head on voices he may hear on the radio, because no one who listens to conservative talk radio (at least the big names like Limbaugh and Hannity) has ever heard them advocate violence against Democrats.
