SENATE CANDIDATE FRANKEN PENS SKIT RIPPING MCCAIN...

The eminently unfunny Franken spent some of his precious campaign time (he's running for the Senate in Minnesota) to commiserate with the staff at Saturday Night Live on a skit which basically calls John McCain a liar. I'm sure he was disappointed that SNL wouldn't let him include any of his trademark porn into the skit.

It looks like Franken isn't all that serious about his Senate run, and that's a good thing because Norm Coleman will beat him like a drum.

And then there's this:

When you have seven homes, that's a lot of garages to fill. After the fuss over the number of residences owned by the two presidential nominees, NEWSWEEK looked into the candidates' cars. And based on public vehicle-registration records, here's the score. John and Cindy McCain: 13. Barack and Michelle Obama: one.

Here we go with the "McCain is so rich he doesn't know how many homes he has" meme, only now we add "too many cars" to the story. Doesn't Newsweek have any real reporting to do?
