Political Quote of the Day

From Newsweek:
Managing expectations and reactions has become Topic A in many black homes and on blogs such as Bossip, Stereohyped and Angry Black Male. "People that I know that have never cared about politics are registering to vote this time: gang members, ex-cons, you name it," says rapper Snoop Dogg. "I hate to see a lot of that hope go down the drain, and if he loses, it will."
Boy, we sure don't want to disappoint the ex-cons, rappers and gang-bangers.

This quote comes from an article in Newsweek entitled "What if Obama Loses?", (though the website title is "How Does the Black Community Handle an Obama Loss?") There are a couple of interesting things about this article. Number one, it's the first admission I've seen in a major mainstream newsmagazine that Obama might lose. Secondly, there's no other situation I can think of where Newsweek would offer an article with the premise of wondering what a particular subgroup of voters will do if a specific candidate loses? Will they follow up with an article "What Will Women do if Sarah Palin Loses?" Did they write that article before Hillary Clinton lost?

And will there be an article "What Will Buffoons Do if Joe Biden Loses?"
