Dear "friend",
As you are a professed supporter of the Democratic party and its presidential candidate, I count you as standing up with those that are consumed by hate for everyone with my values as a Christian and a conservative.
The supposed blind faith and complete lack of intellect you have mocked us for, is a classic case of you projecting your faults upon others. There are apparently no limits to whatever you'll support in your party's agenda whether it is about abolishing the 2nd Amendment to protect against the tyranny of government or suing our churches out of existence because we will not corrupt God's definition of marriage by performing ceremonies for same sexes. While we love gay oriented people, we see forcing kindergartners to read textbooks about gay lifestyles such as has happened in Massachusetts nothing more than child abuse.
We learned from the mistake of pulling out of Vietnam prematurely resulting in a bloodbath of over 2 million Cambodians as a direct result of stopping the combating of evil, you have not.
Your viewpoints have gone from a women's right to choose to keep her legs closed to having a senator vote 4 times that a woman's right to chose now should extend even to babies that survive partial birth abortions.
You'll stand by as an innocent plumber is demonized and have no problem with using proxy agents to reach into our wallets and take whatever you feel is right to spread the wealth around. Come on, have the balls to come to my house yourself and take money from me at gunpoint instead of having the government do it for you. We'll try to overlook the fact that our conservative leaders give far more to charity than the people of your party.
As a supporter, we do not hear you objecting to those closest to your candidate when they say they "have never been proud of America" and you must also believe that America has never been a force for good. As a disciple, you have no problem with your candidate being ordained "the messiah" by the Nation of Islam nor discounting 20 years of racism against whites, Asians and Indians in an all black church where "God damn America" is met with amens. Come to my church and you'll see people of all colors and background embracing family and strangers alike with compassion and a love of America for all the freedoms she has given us.
Don't talk to us about how your civil liberties have been taken away while your representatives in government attempt to force the "Fairness Doctrine" on talk radio shows so that ever conservative host must give 50% airtime to every activist advocating pedophilia, beastiality, antisemitism and equal rights for terrorists.
In conclusion, you have not learned the simplest of all wisdom in this world: "the road to destruction is paved with good intentions." This makes you the enemy of my family, my church and the liberties that made this country the greatest nation ever to have existed. Leave it alone.
Sincerely,
Insert name here
Devastating, but true. I've been rather aggressively building my friends list on Facebook in an effort to widen the influence of this blog and network with people of like mind who are important in the political and blogging community. Every now and then I accidentally wander into a nest of nutjobs like this who sent me this message:
Subject: I ain't no conservative
"anything but - a leftist anarchist/libertarian and proud of it; our 'mutual friends' would rarely fall in that direction ... but I don't reject anyone out of hand"
I'm always amused when I see someone describe themselves as an anarchist...on Facebook. Doesn't membership in such an online community sort of fly in the face of anarchist principles?
Some people get their jollies by describing themselves in such terms, but they clearly don't really know what the words mean.
