In order to accommodate the half-hour TV ad Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., purchased for Wednesday October 29, Fox has requested and received permission to delay the 6th game of the World Series by 15 minutes. There's a good possibility that the two World Series teams will be from the East Coast (it's looking like Philly and Tampa Bay right now). It's bad enough the games start so late in the East - they rarely get done before midnight as it is. Delaying an additional 15 minutes just prolongs the agony.
The Hollywood Reporter and the Los Angeles Times report that Major League Baseball today granted Fox's request to delay the start of the game from 8:20 pm ET to 8:35 pm ET.
Both Florida and Pennsylvania are battleground states. What will the voters in those states think of Obama if he makes them stay up even later to see their home state teams play in the Series?
