On the 13th anniversary of OJ Simpson's acquittal in the double murders of his ex-wife and her friend, OJ faced a jury of his peers once again and this time the verdict is GUILT on all charges. Somebody finally got him.
He's facing 15 to life (at a minimum), but with 12 felony convictions, he's not going to be playing golf for awhile.
I'm sure Chris Darden, Marcia Clark (prosecutors in the murder trial) and Gil Garcetti (former L.A. DA) are raising a glass at this moment to the Las Vegas jury. And for the Browns and Goldmans, justice has been delayed but finally done. I'm sure there's more than one member current or retired of the LAPD who will be planning a celebration on Saturday as well.
The 1995 downtown L.A. jury, enamored at his celebrity status, his race, and poisoned by anti-cop hatred, bought him another 13 years of freedom, but he was too stupid to stay out of trouble. He's the Rodney King of Heisman Trophy winners.
