After just one day at home following a weekend in Northern California, we're on the road again right back to the same place, but this time we'll be spending our Thanksgiving at Sonoma State University with my daughter. The boy will be staying in the dorm with her (all of her roommates went home for Thanksgiving), and we'll be in a nearby hotel. We'll be cooking our Thanksgiving dinner in her dorm room on Thursday, with other family events planned including a trip into San Francisco on Friday and the taking of the annual family Christmas photo.
It's supposed to be raining cats and dogs when we leave at 5am tomorrow, so the run through L.A. should be exciting. I'm glad we're taking the 4-wheel drive Explorer on this trip. We may need the traction to get through the mudslides.
My daughter tells me the wireless in her dorm room works well. We'll see.
