Today will once again be devoted to travel as we make the 475 mile hike back home. I'm sure we'll be joined by a few other returning vacationers, so I'm not expecting a quick trip. Last year I made a round trip from Southern California to Rohnert Park - 1,000 miles - all on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. I'll never travel on that day again. What a mess - an 18 hour odyssey.
Let's hope most people decided to wait until Sunday to drive home.
