Left Casa de HolyCoast this morning at 5am and rolled up to my daughter's front door 475 miles away at 11:30. Do the math - we were pickin' 'em up and puttin' 'em down out there on the I-5.
Had a nice lunch with her and did a little shopping that she needed. Most kids go away to college and gain weight, she did the opposite and her jeans were hanging on her like clown pants. We got that fixed.
We're making a brief stopover at the hotel in Vallejo before heading east a little ways to Pleasant Hill for the preliminary competition in the Western Band Association State Championships. The Mission Viejo Band marches at around 9pm and will then find out their placement for the finals. We're hoping (and expecting) a top slot.
Results will be posted later.
