Senator Obama Resigns

Too bad it's the Senate job he's resigning:

Obama will leave the Senate Sunday, he says in a statement reported by the Illinois press:

“It has been one of the highest honors and privileges of my life to have (run for president while pretending to have) served the people of Illinois in the United States Senate (for 143 days over the last four years)," Obama said in a statement today.

Okay, so I added the stuff in the parentheses, but I wanted the statement to be truthful.
