We stopped by the Macy's in Mission Viejo this morning for some last minute shopping and were surprised to see them taking down the Christmas decorations in their "Trim a House" area. All the ornaments were off the many trees and being boxed up. Christmas was rapidly disappearing.
Last year this same Macy's put up their decorations on August 30. This year they went up a bit later, but you don't expect them to start taking stuff down before Christmas.
Next year they'll put everything up right after July 4th and have it all down by Thanksgiving.
