I'm Dreaming Of a Wet Christmas

For those in other parts of the country buried in snow drifts and frigid temperatures, here's some consolation if you think us Southern Californians are getting off easy (from The Register):
The National Weather Service says the fourth storm in less than two weeks will hit Orange County on Wednesday — Christmas Eve — and will produce periods of heavy rain in Orange County by Thursday morning. The upper San Bernardino Mountains will get snow.

Santa better don his goggles for the trip to the OC this year.

Normally we would have been traveling on Christmas Eve to Santa Paula, but the loss of my father-in-law on December 2nd ended that tradition. I'm not sorry we won't be on the road in the heavy weather, but I think all of us would gladly make the trip again if we could.
