Road Trip

I feel like I've spent more days in hotels than at home lately, and we're on the road again through Monday. We've tried very hard to get to as many of my daughter's concerts at Sonoma State as we can, and there are two this Sunday afternoon and evening, so away we go. Another 1,000 miles.

But if that isn't enough, I get to do it all again on Wednesday when I go back up there to bring the girl home for the Christmas break. I'm getting to where I know every bump and ripple in I-5.

Unfortunately, rain is forecast in California through Wednesday, with snow possibly down to 3,000 feet by Monday. The summit of the Grapevine is 4,200 feet. If that road closes the only option is Hwy. 101 on the coast which adds about 2 hours to the trip. Yuck. Let's hope for just enough global warming to keep the snow off the road.
