Sights Along the I-5

With another 500 mile drive to do today, this time solo (on my way to pick up the daughter for Christmas break), I kept the camera with me to see if I could get some shots of the snow in the Grapevine and whatever else caught my eye. I basically just pointed the camera out the window and hoped for the best. It's hard to look through the viewfinder at 75 mph.

The storm that hit Southern California yesterday brought snow down to 4,000 feet, putting it right at the crest of the highway's path through the mountains:

Once I got out in the San Joaquin Valley I ran through some pretty good rain, but on the backside of the storm God was showing off as the sun set through the storm clouds:

All things considered, a pretty good trip.
