From President George W. Bush during last night's farewell address to the nation:

As the years passed, most Americans were able to return to life much as it had been before Nine-Eleven. But I never did.

Unfortunately, most Democrats returned to a pre-9/11 mindset on roughly 9/12. They still don't believe there's a real threat out there. I would have loved to see the look on The One's face the first time he got a classified security briefing, and I hope he realizes the responsibility he now has to continue Bush's seven years without a terrorist attack on the homeland.
