Just try to imagine a freshman Senate class that includes Princess Caroline Kennedy, egomaniac Roland Burris, and porn-writing "comic" Al Franken. If events continue on their current course, all three will be joining the new Congress in the next few weeks.
Reports are that Kennedy is now the likely choice in New York despite one stumble after another lately, Burris has already been selected in Illinois and it's unlikely that anyone can stop him, and thanks to double-counted votes and all kinds of other shenanigans in Minnesota, Franken could end up replacing Norm Coleman.
The whole thing is like a Saturday Night Live skit.
