If You Want to Stimulate the Economy, Cancel the Super Bowl

Right after halftime in the Super Bowl game I ran out to pick up a Togo's sandwich. Togo's was absolutely dead. The Wendy's next door was empty and there wasn't even anyone in the drive-thru. My wife went to the grocery store during the fourth quarter. Not a soul in there.

I'm convinced that if we want to stimulate the economy we don't need a $1 trillion Porkulus bill, we just need to cancel the Super Bowl so people will go out and spend money like they usually do.

UPDATE: As I was writing this the owner of the Steelers thanked....Barack Obama. What the heck did Obama have to do with this win? Rooney just lost half the country, and I bet even huge Pittsburgh fan Rush Limbaugh is pretty unhappy right now.
