President Obama’s op-ed in the Washington Post exaggerates a problem that he should not exaggerate.
Obama is playing a dangerous game by overstating the economic problems of the world.
In doing so, he is spreading fear-mongering.
From me a couple of days ago:
The recession is taking a toll, and perhaps even more importantly the message coming from Washington is making things worse. Every day the new president talks about the "continuing disaster" and how "things will get worse before they get better", and the obvious effect on average citizens is a tightening of the purse strings. I'm becoming concerned that Washington is successfully scaring America from a recession into a depression.Surber goes on in the piece mentioned above to dissect the president's op-ed. Read it here.
