CIA Won't Be Prosecuted for Waterboarding

In a companion piece to the story from Spain in which no prosecution of former Bush administration officials for perceived injustices to Gitmo prisoners will be allowed, here comes this story:
Obama administration telling CIA officials they won't be prosecuted for past waterboarding.

Wow, this is really turning out to be a bad day for the tinfoil hat crowd. Says The One:
This is a time for reflection, not retribution. I respect the strong views and emotions that these issues evoke. We have been through a dark and painful chapter in our history. But at a time of great challenges and disturbing disunity, nothing will be gained by spending our time and energy laying blame for the past. Our national greatness is embedded in America's ability to right its course in concert with our core values, and to move forward with confidence. That is why we must resist the forces that divide us, and instead come together on behalf of our common future.

He thinks the Bush Administration was a "dark and painful chapter in our history"? Just wait until history writes about his turn at the helm.

And during that "dark and painful chapter" we did not have a single terrorist attack on U.S. soil following 9/11. Will we be able to say that at the end of the Obama era?

One good thing - the names of the CIA officers involved will be redacted from the report so at least those guys won't end up with a bunch of ACORN protesters on their front lawn.
