For all of his hopes about bipartisanship, Barack Obama has the most polarized early job approval ratings of any president in the past four decades. The 61-point partisan gap in opinions about Obama's job performance is the result of a combination of high Democratic ratings for the president -- 88% job approval among Democrats -- and relatively low approval ratings among Republicans (27%).I'm surprised he got 27% of Republicans. I'm also surprised he didn't get 110% of Dems (extra credit thrown in for those who would leave their husbands and marry him if he'd just dump that Michelle broad).
If the gap narrows it probably won't be because he's picking up GOP support. It will likely be because even Democrats won't be able to stand him anymore.
