UPDATE: It now appears this story was Car and Driver's idea of an April Fool's joke. I checked with a couple of reputable NASCAR sites and they're confirming the hoax. However, given the way Obama has been acting toward the auto industry, nothing would surprise me.
Consequently, I've deleted the Car and Driver story.
