Today's Fun Spam Email

Awhile back I got a spam email from someone impersonating a member of the U.S. military. It was the classic Nigerian scam with military twist to try and give it some credibility.

Today I got a new one along the same lines. The Subject line says "From Iraq":
Hello,

This may rather come to you as a surprise or may not but I sincerely beg you if by any reasons you reject to assist me on this, please destroy this mail as any leakages will be bad for me and my colleague over here.

I will start by introducing myself; my name is Sgt. Andrews Veach of the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marines, I am serving in Iraq (Mosul) which you are aware and I will need your assistance to take care of some financial matters and you will be adequately compensated with the sum of £3 Million pounds sterling for rendering assistance.

I will need your word of honor that you will keep my identity and other information's regarding this project to yourself and you will also try to adhere to the terms we will agree on, especially the safety of the part of resources that I will call my share, after you have taken the figures we will agree on as your share.

I await your urgent e-mail so we can discuss more.

Semper Fi.
Ssgt Andrews Veach
Busted.
