White House Slams It Into Reverse

The White House is backtracking on two recent issues:

1. Regarding Scare Force One, this Tweet from CBS reporter Mark Knoller:

WH/Gibbs just said the WH review of the Air Force One NYC photo op
mission will be concluded this week. Will release findings and "a
photo." Story here.

2. Regarding the school voucher program in D.C. that was to be scrapped after this year, Rush Limbaugh reported that Obama will allow the program to continue until all the students currently enrolled graduate. However, no new students will be admitted and there's no word on students who were accepted for next year but then told they were out. I'll post a link to that story once I find it.

Obama has taken a great deal of heat on both of these issues. Taxpayers want to see what they got for their $329,000 Air Force One flight.

And poor black families in D.C. have been very verbal about the success their kids have had under the voucher program. The teacher's unions will still get their way on that one since the program is effectively dead for any new students, but you can bet voucher proponents will be watching the kids that stay in the program to see how well they do. If these were white kids the program would be dead, but because they're black the racial politics will backfire on the president.

Looks like Obama can drive in reverse as fast as he can going forward.
