Classy Lakers fans celebrate the team's championship. From the LA Times and KTLA.
Not a lot of McCain voters in those photos.
How morally bankrupt do you need to be to think that looting stores run by actual working people, destroying cars belonging to actual working people, and attacking police cars is an appropriate response to a win by a sports team? And how come the NBA seems to attract such thuggish fans?
It's too bad the LAPD has been so terribly neutered by lawsuits in recent years. It would have been fun to watch them wade into the rioting crowd with nightsticks swinging.
And one thing I'll never understand, while watching this unfold on TV last night I saw several cars surrounded and attacked by "fans" and the drivers stopped as they were being assaulted. If that had happened to me there's no way I would stop. I'd punch the throttle and leave a black and red streak for 1/4 mile. You can call me later and tell me how many rioters I took out.
