Defining "Success" Down

The Obama Administration will take just about anything as a sign of success:
Of all the statistics pouring into the White House every day, top economic adviser Larry Summers highlighted one Friday to make his case that the economic free-fall has ended.

The number of people searching for the term “economic depression” on Google is down to normal levels, Summers said.

The number of people searching "Harry Potter" is dramatically up. Does that mean that more people are looking for positions in wizardry?

This White House can't show actual success in real economic terms, and trying to justify their efforts using Google searches is more than a little bit lame. How about using real job searches, such as is going on in the 16 states that now have more than 10% unemployment?
