Obama Sends Team to Tell Israel How to Run Its Country

Don't you think Obama has enough problems of his own that he doesn't need to be meddling with our allies?
The Obama administration is dispatching four of its most senior foreign policy and security figures to Israel this coming week with the same message on two open questions causing friction between the close allies: Don't do it.

Taking a firmer line with Israel than the Bush administration, President Barack Obama is urging Israel to stop all settlement construction in the West Bank or risk closing off the most promising avenues for peace negotiations.

Washington also wants Israel to shelve any plan for a military strike to sabotage Iran's nuclear facilities, arguing that Obama's offer of engagement and talks with Iran deserves time to bear fruit.
Obama's got a problem. He's not dealing with that weak sister Olmert anymore. Bibi Netanyahu's in charge now and he's not having any of this nonsense from Obama. I expect the "Committee for the Correction of Israel" (my name) is going to get a cool reception.

I would hope that Israel tells Mr. Obama and his team where to put it.
It is absurd that Obama thinks he can tell Israel what land they must give up and how they must do it. Israel has every right to occupy any of the land within its borders as it so desires. Jerusalem has belonged to the Jews for thousands of years and for the Arabs to think they can take control and occupy it is wrong. It is beyond my wildest imaginations that Obama thinks he can tell another country what they must do unless he is crazy or a Muslim himself.

I expect Israel to be very polite and attentive to Pres. Obama's emissaries. Then I expect them to ignore each and every word.

An article on Drudge says there will be a protest of America's policies towards Israel tonight (Monday). This will be the first such protest since Kissinger.
