Political Quote of the Day

From Rep. Peter King of New York:
"For the last, I don't know how long now, this low-life Michael Jackson, his name, his face, his picture, is all over the newspapers, television, radio. That's all we hear about is Michael Jackson. Let's knock out this psycho-babble. This guy was a pervert, a child molestor, he was a pedophile, and to be giving this much coverage to him day in and day out, what's it say about us a country?"
Exactly.

I'm sitting in my hotel room in Vegas waiting for the ladies to get back from the pool and CNN is all Michael/all the time. The coverage is nauseating. I don't think Ronald Reagan's funeral got that much coverage from CNN.

We really have become a celebrity-obsessed culture, and that's not a positive thing.

UPDATE: A comment from Dean on Facebook:
"Since he is 85% plastic, after the funeral, they're going to melt him down into legos so the children can play with him for a change."
