Thunder and Heat

Long day today. I don't have time to work on photos - I'll have to do that later. We spent part of the day in Frankenmuth, MI where they have the world's largest Christmas store (and they weren't kidding), and this evening at my sister-in-law's house. We all pretty tired. I don't think anyone has slept well on this trip.

When we arrived in Frankenmuth it was pretty warm and humid and there were some dark clouds to the west. We went in and ate at The Bavarian Inn, which offered a variety of American and German food, and when we came out it was raining and thundering. Of course, the umbrellas were in the car 1/2 mile away. We dodged raindrops for awhile and after 30 minutes or so the storm moved off and it got hot again. We just don't know how to dress for this changing climate.

Tomorrow we hope to take a 2 hour river cruise on the Detroit River. Should give us a good view of downtown and the Belle Isle area. I'm hoping for some good photo ops if the storms stay away.
