Don Surber had these two photos on his site:
Sen. Byrd was a constant critic of Bush, and yet Bush gladly extended a hand to help him.
Is there a connection between the two photos? You make the call.

The thing I find despicable is that the jerk will take credit for any "peace accord" between Gates and Crowley when in reality it comes down to a civil issue and nothing more. He has endless smoke and is surrounded by mirrors.
I wonder if Gates offered a "Thanks" to Sgt. Crowley for the extended helping hand??
It is obvious that no one would be offering a "Thanks" to the Obama, he is such a dunce. With him, it's all about ME!
Thank you, Rick, for posting the picture here or I know I probably wouldn't have seen it.
Gosh, I love President Bush. What a fine man and a real leader. Obama is trying, but he simply has no class. He really thinks it's about him.
I'm going to disagree with Jan. There was nothing to fix at all. Indeed, Crowley shouldn't have attended. He should have politely declined because going to the White House under these circumstances posed a conflict of interest. Should he find out whether people are acquaintances of the president before deciding whether to make an arrest?
But since he was there, I'm glad he was available to help Mr. Gates. And one can only wish that Obama were reading Rick and Surber so that he could see this comparison. Maybe it'd teach him something -- what's called a "teachable moment" -- he's the one who needs such moments. Lots of them.
Or, perhaps, it's just the fault of his "typical" white grandmother. Maybe she failed to teach him manners.
Ann, I DO agree with you.....Crowley should NEVER have attended this stupid gathering. The problem remains in the real world that we are conditioned to not say "no" to the President.
And this dunce knows that. Crowley still wins this round despite the picture. Apart from this chicanery of WH events, Crowley held true to his service commitment. That is what I see in the end.
