Apropos the second title, "Is the Conservative Movement Dead," when I learn that the New York Times sheilded its readers from the full story of Van Jones's resignation, it tells me this:
that the New York Times knows, its editors realize, that even their readers would be shocked to learn who Van Jones really is. Even many of their readers. Otherwise, why wouldn't they eagerly share the information?
Even they know it's beyond the pale -- which demonstrates that they are AWARE of how imperiled their hero is. He is only safe as long as the truth is kept hidden.
