Fearful that they're losing ground on immigration and health care, a group of House Democrats is pushing back and arguing that any health care bill should extend to all legal immigrants and allow illegal immigrants some access.If anything kills Obamacare dead it will be the liberal Democrats who just can't stand the idea of a bill that doesn't include coverage for illegals and a public option. Right now they are the best friends Republicans have.

The perfect solution: the liberal Dems need to start an 'Adopt an Alien' program. Each of those people who believe that illegal (doesn't illegal mean criminal?) immigrants should be insured by the American tax payer could adopt his very own undocumented worker and add him and his family to their personal insurance policy and pay to have them covered on their own personal insurance plan. Some of the rest of us are sick and tired of other people deciding how we should spend the money we work for, usually on the basis of where OUR money will get THEM the most votes.
Does that mean if a public option passes doctors and hospitals are going to ask for proof of citizenship every time you make use of them?
If thats the case there might be a problem because if I'm in bad enough shape to need hospitalization the last thing I need is to go digging for a birth certificate. I would much rather prefer treatment.
