Same Jay, Different Time

Like apparently a lot of Americans, we tuned into the new Jay Leno Show last night to see if it would be worth watching from time-to-time. I didn't even make it all the way through the opening monologue and pre-recorded bits. With the exception of a different set, we could have been watching a rerun of his old Tonight Show.

I'm going to watch more of it in TiVO later to see if there was an discernable difference from the old show, but so far it just appears that they've moved Jay from 11:35 pm to 10 pm without much of a change in format or content.

The Live Feed has a collection of reviews here. The initial ratings will be pretty good, but I don't think they'll hold up over time. When it was announced that Jay was moving to 10pm I thought that might be a problem for Conan O'Brien, the new host of The Tonight Show. Now, not so much.
