Gov. Environmentalist to Waive Rules for Football Stadium

The Governator, one of the biggest global warming proponents around and a guy who's constantly pushing stupid environmental rules, decided L.A. needs a football stadium and environmentalists...and the neighbors...can just go pound sand:
LA Stadium - Magestic Realty Co Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said he's going to sign an environmental exemption bill that will clear the way for construction of the LA Stadium.

State senators approved the bill, which would nullify a lawsuit over the project's environmental impact report by citizens in neighboring Walnut. Schwarzenegger is expected to sign the bill in support of the stadium because its impact on the local economy and its ability to generate jobs.

There will be more than 6,700 new jobs created because of the stadium, causing an addition $21 million in new tax revenue and $762 million in new economic activity, according to an LA Stadium spokesperson.

Why doesn't the Governator waive the environmental restrictions and let us start drilling for our own oil off Santa Barbara? That would benefit all of us more than a football stadium.

And how about he allow the water to flow to the farmers and forget about the little fish. Are they absolutely sure those fish don't live somewhere else in the whole, wide world?

One word sums up the problem in Sacramento----STUPID.

It's a mile from our house. Even though the city of Diamond Bar got a payoff of about $20 million to not oppose the stadium, we're considering moving. And if we do, it will be out of state.

Our brilliant gov is allowing our central valley to dry up all for the sake of some stupid fish, while our state loses MILLIONS in revenue from agriculture.

And all these geniuses can think about is taxing us more?

Bob Hughes, you have the right idea. I am a native of this state, however with the leadership we have in Sacramento I to am thinking of selling (it will now be at a loss) and move out of this state. Eventually California will no doubt be given over to the Mexicans and with business and sane people moving out of the state it should prove to be just the place for them, sort of like Mexico now.
