Unfortunately, the Governor did sign AB962. This bill requires individuals purchasing ammunition be fingerprinted and registered at the time of sale, mandates that dealers keep these records and make them available for inspection by the California Department of Justice. Ammunition retailers would also have to store ammunition in such a manner that it would be inaccessible to purchasers. Finally, mail order ammunition sales are prohibited under AB962. Over twenty years ago, Congress abolished similar requirements because ammunition sales records were found to be useless for solving crimes. AB962 is a dire threat to our Second Amendment rights in the Golden State.California legislators forget that the state border is just a few hours drive away from most of us, and if we want to avoid handing our personal information over to the state, we can simply take our business elsewhere.
And we will.
There are lots of gun stores in Las Vegas that will be more than willing to sell us all the ammo we can carry.
And this also helps explain the Governator's 27% approval rating.

How the Republicans think that Arnold can be any good to the people and be married to a Kennedy is hard to figure. He has been nothing more than a sheep in wolf's clothing. Look at the financial shape we were in when he first took office. He gave us lip service that he would get us out of the financial mess, and now we are in worse financial shape than when he took office. Now he has caved in to the Liberal Left Group and turned his back on Honest Gun Owners. I'm sure glad he can't run for office again, just hope somebody decent will run.
