Mrs. HolyCoast is Back Home
An update to the earlier post - they let Mrs. Holycoast go home about 6 pm tonight. They ran a whole battery of tests, including heart, thyroid, CAT scan, stress echo cardiography...you name it. Everything negative. We really have no idea what set off this morning's heart attack look-alike.

PTL!!!! I'm glad the lovely lady is back home and that she did not have a heart attack or any serious heart problems. Sorry you couldn't make your trip, but its better to be safe than sorry.
I think your daughter will still turn 21 without you being there.
have them keep an eye of that thyroid...exp. if she has had trouble w/ it before...
I am glad it worked out the way it did, sorry for the alarm.
I get a pain the matches up with all the symptoms-of-a-heart-attack chart, and I do have high-blood pressure and other cardiac issues.
But that pain will probably signal the one that kills me because I have trouble giving it any more attention than I have to.
My personal theory (as a committed hypochondriac, not a medico) is that it is a diverticulosis issue because it clears with some other symptoms of that.
I'm so very sorry about the unexpected change in plans for celebrating your daughter's birthday, and about the scare you experienced, but very glad it appears your wife is OK. Sending a few prayers toward South County!
Best wishes,
Laura
Good.
I hope your kids were not too distressed.
My daughter was 500 miles away (where we were supposed to be) so she was kind of insulated against the whole thing. The boy was a little more worried since I woke him up very early to tell him we were going to the hospital. Fortunately, everybody's doing good today.
