Stay Away From Pasadena Today

If you're not going to the Rose Bowl for the U2 concert, you'll probably want to stay away from Pasadena today. And if you are going, good luck:
U2's stop in Pasadena for their "360" tour broke records as the first time an event has ever completely sold out at the Rose Bowl, and is expected to bring unprecedented parking and traffic issues along with it.

About 96,000 people with "general admission" tickets are expected to come to the Rose Bowl Sunday for the U2 show, billed as the largest in the stadium's history.

Pasadena police are urging anyone planning on attending to use public transportation or carpool, to lessen traffic jams and parking issues. Parking will be challenging, since the Rose Bowl has only about 20,000 spaces next to the stadium.
For the Rose Bowl game each year they usually allow people to park on an adjacent golf course, so unless it's raining and they close off the course to prevent damage, they can usually accommodate the crowd. However, I don't believe the golf course is open for parking today and that means the streets anywhere near the Rose Bowl will be a gigantic mess.

Should make for some good TV.
