Yankee Stadium Needed Some Global Warming

A cousin of Paul Hinderaker at Powerline sent him a first person report from Saturday night's American League championship game:
Last night I was at Yankee Stadium watching the Yanks exciting extra-inning playoff win. Along with 50,000 other shivering fans we had to endure a scoreboard message from Robert Redford sponsored by the National Defense Resources Council demanding that we lower our standard of living to stop global warming. The volume was turned on so loud that Redford's voice could be heard above the howling wind and freezing rain of a mid- October evening in New York City.
But it's supposed to be warmer today than....well, ever!

But it isn't. Global warming stopped in 1998 and we're on pace to have a very early and very cold winter in much of the country. Did anyone see the football game from New England yesterday? Those weren't desert sand dunes blowing across the field, it was snowing.

We just need to start laughing at Redford and the others pushing this nonsense.

I want to see these Hollywood elites lower their standard of living first.
